“ We came in for a reservation on Valentine's day around 6pm. It was busy, as expected, but from check in to leaving, the service was exceptional. We were seated outside towards the end of the restaurant and it was intimate and beautiful. We had come in once a couple years ago and loved it so we came again. To our luck, Tindero (I believe, sorry if misepelled) was our server again! He was as lively and reassuring as we remembered. Everything we had was SPECTACULAR; we ate everything. I couldn't even tell you what was my favorite but you can't go wrong with the Lobster Ravioli, Calamari or anything in their gorgonzola sauce. At the end we had some delicious Tiramisu and Affogato. We will be coming back more often! ”

“ This is my home away from home kitchen. What a lovely and romantic spot. Celebrated birthday, anniversary, date nights, or just because you're in La Jolla. I had almost everything on the menu and it's all amazing but my favorite is lasagna, pasta lamb Raghu, and risotto. Try the flower blossoms and pear appetizer. Always with a great bottle of wine. Service is the best as we are regulars and everyone knows your name. I almost forgot get the Tiramisu as is a must. ”

“ We were there to celebrate my son's birthday. On the reviews of fellow yelpers, I suggested this to him. We were probably one of the first customers there. We were welcomed warmly and seated inside. We chose a few appetizers, the eggplant appetizer and the octopus were beyond delicious, the charcuterie board was generous. The main dishes were delightful, especially the lobster ravioli and the fettuccine Alfredo. Natalia was attentive and courteous. The tiramisu with a candle was a nice touch. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Will be back. ”

“ La Dolce Vita has a cute and cozy atmosphere, and is really close to the main streets of La Jolla. Located off Prospect in a little courtyard, the restaurant is nicely decorated and has a great menu. The pasta sauce was very fresh and care was taken with each of the prepared dishes. The complimentary bread left a lot to be desired, as it wasn't the most fresh and the crust was a bit thick. The included dipping sauce also had a bit too subtle of a flavor for what we were looking for. The spaghetti and meatball dish was well balanced and very fresh. The caprese was good too, the pesto had good flavor. The service was fast and the staff were very attentive and quick to clean out dirty plates. Lovely experience! ”

“ This is one of the best Italian spots I've been to in a long time! The fettuccine alfredo was absolutely delicious. Noodles were cooked perfectly and the Alfredo sauce was creamy but not too heavy. The lasagna was a bit hard on the edges, but taste wise it was amazing! The star of the show for me was actually their sun dried tomato spread, which comes complimentary with a basket of homemade bread :) Overall a lovely spot, and great servers! ”

“ Not bad. Nice outside dining in the evening. Lots of gluten free options including pizza, pasta and main dishes. The sea Bass was great. Grabbed a gluten free pizza to go, pizza was very meh. Service was good, they were friendly and attentive. ”

“ This was a casual and airy eatery in La Jolla with both indoor and outdoor dining. The meals starts with free warm housemade bread with a delicious sundried tomato/olive oil dipping sauce. I could have come for the bread alone. Calamari fritti ($18) was perfectly battered and crispy. Grilled octopus ($20) was very tender with a nice charred flavor. It was laid on a bed of potato, artichoke, tomato. I wish the potato was roasted (a la Kenji Lopez Alt's, ideally) or cooked in some other way besides boiling. The accompanying artichoke and potato were underwhelming and detracted from the octopus. I still recommend the dish though because the octopus was quite good. Crab fettucine ($25) and Pistacchio spaghetti ($25) were...okay. The ingredients are clearly fresh and everything is cooked well (meaning the seafood is tender and not overcooked). But the flavor profile was not quite right. For example, the crab fettucini was overwhelmed by the flavor of the asparagus. The pistacchio pesto did not have the nuttiness of parmesan (was I supposed to be able to taste the nuttiness of the pistachio?) or the subtle sharpness of garlic. The pasta was clearly a creamy green, but I did not taste the typical bright herbaceousness that is supposed to come with pesto. There were a ton of other pastas that caught my eye. If I were to go back again, I would try something different (I was definitely craving the gorgonzola gnocchi and truffle risotto) Parking is horrible because it is La Jolla, but we found street parking 1 block away. I hate having to pay for parking in the structures. Service was delivered with just the right amount of attentiveness. The bathroom is a restroom shared amongst the other stores, so you have to get a key-on-woode-plank things to open the door. I dislike this kind of set-up, where I need to touch some gross wood plank or key after I have just washed my hands, but this is not the restaurant's fault. ”
